Travel

I just finished read Around The World in  Eighty Days by Jules Verne.
I knew that no matter how much books that I read but the journey itself is totally different.
In Chinese proverb, there is a saying,"It is better to travel ten thousand miles than to read ten thousand books".

I hope I can travel around the world with someone that special to me too.
I hope we can enjoy the deliciousness of the foods, the beauty of the scenery and the uniqueness of the different cultures.

My friend asked me once, if I have money to travel where will it be...

I want to travel to Australia because there are so many places to explore and so many animals to see.
I want to travel to Italy because the architecture is totally amazing.
I want to travel to Japan because the food, culture, festival, language and the people attract me. I want to eat the dorayaki, takoyaki and the real sushi made in Japan. I also want to see sakura and visit some Japanese temples.
I want to travel to Egypt because I want to see with my own eyes the ancient building pyramid described by the book.
I want to travel to Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, UK and many other countries.

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

Cleaning

I changed three water filters in my house yesterday.
I just cleaned my car this afternoon.
Then I proceed to cleaned my room and the toilet.
Now my toilet looks like all-brand-new.
Oh, I also washed the dishes and arranging all the plates for almost an hour.
And of course, my mom wondering what am I doing in the kitchen for so long.

Then?
Of course, I checked my email in case some very-urgent-emails need my reply or approval.
Then?
Then I tak ada kerjanya main Facebook games:

Social Empires

 Dragon City

F*ck, what the hell am I doing? =.=
I suppose study or at least working.
Ok, I admit that my life is too boring.
I also admit that I'm too lazy to study, so...
Fine...is time to find job.

Electric, Water and Internet

No electric, no water or no internet, which one will you prefer?

I rather choose no internet because without internet, I can still 'survive'.
I can choose to read book, study or at least sleep with my air-con on.

Without water, it will totally ruins my morning especially this morning.
I can't shower and only allow to brush my teeth to conserve the tank water.
I can't boil hot water to make my coffee and boil the eggs.
The worst part? I can't flush the toilet.
I planned to clean the car and  my room but, because of no water I need to postpone my plan.
Tomorrow? Tomorrow I will lose my motivation to carry out my plan.

Without electric, it will totally ruins my afternoon, evening and night.
Why? No electric => no light, no fan, no air-con and no computer.
I can't charge my phone. I can't shower with hot water. I can't boil hot water.
I can't imagine stay at home with no electric because our house is so hot and my room is so dark.

Living in the modern society, I rather not to choose any one of them.

New Year of 2013

Finally the beginning of the year has arrived.
Everything will be started to look new again.
My classes will be started in the next two weeks.
My project will be started in this month.
And I hope my working career will be started around this year.

In the past three months I haven't stop reading, reading and reading.
From my experience of reading, it's told me that reading adventure never ends.
Probably it's time to slow down my reading and started to make use of what I read.
And I hope what I have read will be useful for my project and for my future job.

My goals for myself this year:
1) Eat more fruits and sleep early.
2) Spend more time with my family and friends.
3) Have a regular excise and meditation.
4) Enjoy my life and be more adventurous.
5) Be more confident.

My goals as a Future Mathematician and Statistician this year:
1) Master Multivariate Analysis, Stochastic Analysis and Advanced Matrix Algebra.
2) Master the use of Matlab, SAS, R, EXCEL and SPSS.
3) To finish read:

i. The Princeton Companion To Mathematics - Timothy Gowers
ii. Reading Statistics and Research - Schuyler W. Huck
iii. Euler's Gem (The Polyhedron Formula and The Birth of Topology) -David S. Richeson
