65. How I Dealt with COVID
1. Every week I will clean my room because I can't go out. Hence I spent time to decorate my room. I bought a new bed, two new pillows, a new long pillow for me to hug (no one there for me), a new curtain and a new chair.
2. I learnt to do meditation since Jan 2021 for 15 mins. Twice a day. My boredom and depression just getting worsen.
3. I bought 20 books of Agatha Christie in May 2019. With the spirit of "1 Month, 1 Book" I finally finished reading all.
5. I bought Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software. And installed DaVinci Resolve software to learn video editing. I owned a Youtube channel but only posted 2 public videos so far. My motivation just not strong enough. 🤦🏻♂️
6. I tried to learn Chinese and Japanese language but again my listening, speaking, reading and writing just going nowhere.
7. I spent a lot of time watching and learning digital courses from LinkedIn: How to become Graphic Designer, Become a Financial Analyst, Become a Data Analyst, Become a Project Manager. I think I have spent 78 hours so far. Now I'm learning how to become a Digital Marketing Specialist...
Thanks to YouTube, Shopee and LinkedIn, else buying and learning online would not be possible. However no matter how much I enjoyed staying at home but I still yearning to go out shopping and travelling.

62. Progress Update
However I seldom blog because I know my English proficiency is quite poor.
I believe my English has improved over the year.
So now I will continue my journey to write.
When I'm looking back, I really amaze how am I able to survive that long.
The only motivation that I have is to keep going ....until I find the Light.
I have a long term goals written on the top left corner at this blog.
So where am I now?
Let's start!
Data Scientist
Statistician & Mathematician
I have watched a video last time where a kid started to develop apps when he was 8 years old. I was like wow. Outcome? I have designed a few easy apps where template has been given and I have published it in Google Apps store. However my account got terminated because of e-book copyright issue. I need to redo but I simply don't have time. Now I demotivated to continue.
Educator
Marathon Runner
My initial motivation was to be healthy and to reduce my blood pressure. I have joined 44 running events so far and mostly are 10 km. I'm joined half marathon once and I wish that is my last because at the end of the day I can't feel my leg anymore. Last Sunday supposed to be my second half marathon event but I didn't go due to virus that is spreading all over the world. Better be safe than sorry.

61. My heart sank
Just now he was eating a dinner, then suddenly I smelled something weird coming from his place. I was thinking, "Impossible the smell coming from his rice, right. He seems enjoying it. Where the smell come from?".
Feeling something was not right and after a few minutes, I'm brave myself to asked him," I think probably your rice already stale. Can you smell it?" He said no. I took his rice and confirm it. Then I remember, his nose got some problem but I didn't know he completely lost his smell senses. He almost finished it. After I warned him, he still continue to eat it. My heart sank. If I warn him earlier, he probably won't eat dinner that already stale.

59. Creative Ways of using QR codes

QR stands for Quick Response and it was designed in 1994 in Japan. I have noticed and found few QR codes in my working place. I found one on top of the lift button to serves as a circular/memo and another one at cafe to serve as a feedback form for customer to rate their services.
If you ask me, I found it quite brilliant because I can just scan the code with my camera without typing anything in my phone to search for more information. I also noticed that China started obsessing QR code recently. Here I came up with few more ideas to use QR code:
- Live update. About what bus number for the station, to where and where the bus currently is.
- Additional info or news. Sometimes I saw a poster in MRT but there is no link, only photo. Make me curious what its try to tell me.
- Exercise or additional note for student. This is useful for student if they want to do additional exercises or dig deeper about the subject.
- Tree label. Label near the tree or as tag to provide information about the tree such as species, age, and its uses. Please do this in Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM).
- Building label. Label on the historical building to provide more information to tourist.
- Product label. Label to give more details about the product like how product is made.
- Food recipes. Food and its uses for cooking recipes and what else ingredient needed to cook the for the recipes.
- Product review. Can be link to Instagram or Youtube.
Discount voucher. Used by Starbuck right now.- Business card. Can be link to Linkedin or Facebook page.
- Book sample. Sometimes the book is wrapped in plastic and you curious to know the content inside or you just want to buy the soft copy.
- Games, contest or treasure hunt. Scratch and win a prize or print on the rubik cube.
- Easter egg. Incorporate as part of the games.
- Animal collar. Well, if you saw someone's dog, you can scan the code and find the owner's Facebook or that's dog Instagram.
- Annual report soft copy. Scan and get soft copy of company annual report during AGM.
Payment mode for transaction. Scan, pay and go. Used by China right now.- Ticket. As a admission ticket for movie or concert.
- Matchmaking? Use as a tattoo or print a poster of your own QR code link to Facebook Instagram, Google+ etc for people to know more about you.
But beware, there is a pro and cons of using the QR codes. Make sure you scan reliable QR code and do not enter any personal info.
- Easy to use because just need to scan the code.
- User must have the QR reader apps.
- Must have a website url to direct user to that website.
- Can direct user to scammer website, click bait and virus website.

58. Summary of 2018
1. I did not realise that my last post was 19 December 2017. I abandoned it for almost a year. My first post was 16 Jan 2009. Wow, my blog almost 10 years old. 😱
2. I did not fully revamp my blog but just removed all unnecessary items and added a few links like Android Apps store, Facebook, Instagram, Shopee and Twitter. I want to keep it nice and simple.
3. I learned how to build apps this year as a hobby. I have published 11 apps (travel apps, quiz apps, ebook apps, religion apps, newspaper apps and "nothing" apps which have nothing in it). Download it and give me a honest review plz. Then you can uninstall it. 😂 My goal: 1 Month, 1 Apps!
4. My Facebook got nothing. I didn't bother to update anything. Too lazy I guess.
5. My Instagram full of my running photos. I have joined 32 runs so far since 2016 and ran 354.9 km. I just un-archived my post and make it public. I have donated my blood eight times since last year, I hope it can helps someone. My goal: 1 Month, 1 Run!

If students complaint or criticise you in front of you, you either learn to ignore it or accept it. If you feel you want to **** them, no please don't because it is definitely illegal. Choose the first option. It is much better for you to learn to ignore them. It will be best if you learn to accept it and then say "Thank you, I will improve my teaching next time".
ii) Patience needed (as much as possible).
Even students don't like you, hate you, make a lot of noise, think you are an idiot, think you are invisible, think you are not qualify to teach, think you are too young to teach them, think why UTAR hire you, think you are lack of experience and bla bla bla...the most important thing is don't ever ever lose your patience and your confidence. Don't channel your anger toward them because? They are just a student, the most important thing is they are just a kid, a children. Be patient in teaching them.

40. Designing Logo for Independence Day
I think logo for year 2012 is the most
The reason why it is so pretty and neat because I'm using the software called "EximiousSoft Logo Designer". Really a good software. After I drew it on the software, I transferred it to M. Word to write the explanations. After I done, I went to post office to post it two weeks ago.

Haha. Thanks to all my course mates. Last but not least, I must say THANK YOU to the person who invented Google, Wikipedia and Copy+Paste! LOL.

38. Master of Mathematical Science Dinner
And I didn't take any photo because the food mah-mah dei only.
Not recommended. Lol.
Then we went to Setiawalk for second round to yumcha.
We discussed a lot of things about our past (what happened during our Master class), the present (what we are doing now) and the future (what/how will our career path gonna be)
Most of them probably will continue their PhD...others will heading to risk management field (like Gabriel and me), and some will going to statistics related field.
For next week, our result will be released and we are going to graduate.
Then we will have our convo few months later.
The journey for Master took longer but also seems shorter than I thought.
At the end, I quite ng sey tak a bit. Haha.
- No matter what happens, one day we gonna meet again like how fate bring us together in the first place-

37. Termite
No doubt, is termite. I prayed there is no giant nest behind my comic books. I took out all my comic books carefully to check. Wah lah...my beloved One Piece, Yugioh, Sarkas Karakuri and MAR Heaven all got a hole in it. Luckily out of hundreds comic books that I have, only a few have a hole. And luckily my Doraemon and Detective Conan remain untouched. But still tomorrow I need to check one by one.
THIS MEANS WAR! WHAT A GROUP OF BASTARDS! I GONNA KILL EACH OF YOU FOR REVENGE!
